Robert Tarlton was elected president of the Lansford Planning Commission at an organizational meeting held last night in the Lansford Borough Hall.

Other officers of the newly organized commission are John Tomko, vice president, and Luther Nochton, secretary. John Dubosky and Jenkin Jenkins are the other members serving on the board.

Tarlton told the group he will request the services of a state or federal government agent to explain the proposed mission of the commission and to make the local board aware of money that might be available under the Federal Redevelopment Act for local projects.
