Mrs. John Black of the Summit Hill American Legion Post 316 Auxiliary gave a report on her attendance at the state convention recently, noting the unit received a plaque for the past year under the helm of Mrs. Micheline O’Gurek.

She said the women were acknowledged for the best cooperation of the unit and the post. A plaque awarded the unit will be hung in the main grille of the post home.

During their monthly meeting, the women established a committee for the October installation of new officers. To serve on it are Mrs. Fred Evans, Mrs. Catherine Cunfer, Mrs. Martha Evans, Mrs. Marion McMichael, Mrs. Raymond Snyder, Mrs. Francis Gerber, Mrs. Joseph VanHorn, Mrs. Jennie Earst, Mrs. Edward Snyder and Mrs. Black.
