Police report on Monroe crashes

State police reported on the following crashes in Monroe County:

• Two people suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 12:52 p.m. Aug. 4 along the Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge identified them as Morris R. Harrison, 27, the driver of the vehicle, and a female, no age listed. They are both from Kresgeville.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Ram 1500 truck westbound when he lost control of the vehicle and it traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

Police said Harrison was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• State police at Stroudsburg said a Brodheadsville woman crashed her vehicle after the glare of the sun blinded her while she was driving on the Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township at 6:56 p.m. Aug. 9.

Police said Stephanie M. Lococo, 53, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Impala northbound when she could not see the roadway because of the sun. The car crossed over the white shoulder line of the roadway and struck a bridge railing, then traveled across the double yellow lines and strike a guide rail on the opposite side of the road. The vehicle struck a second guide rail before traveling to the middle of the road where it came to rest.

Lococo was uninjured.
