The Schuylkill County Human Resource Director has resigned, according to Schuylkill County Commissioner Gary Hess.

Deborah Ann Twigg was hired in January of 2018.

Hess said Saturday commissioners had received copies of her resignation letter this week.

“She gave it to Gary Bender initially and we got copies of it,” Hess said.

He didn’t recall exactly when commissioners received the letter, adding it might have been Thursday or Friday.

“I think it is effective Sept. 4,” Hess said.

Hess also didn’t remember the reason for the resignation.

Bender confirmed the resignation but had no additional comment.

Calls to Schuylkill County Commissioners Chairman Barron “Boots” Hetherington, Commissioner George Halcovage Jr. and Glenn Roth, first assistant county solicitor, were not returned.
