Easton man facing charges in Schuylkill

An Easton resident is facing charges following an incident in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said troopers were dispatched at 3:50 a.m. on Aug. 8 to a report of a disturbance on Lakeside Avenue in Delano Township. The caller related that her boyfriend, identified as Jonathan Fischer, 39, was causing a disturbance at the residence.

On scene troopers found Fischer in the middle of the road swinging pipes in a menacing manner. The caller said Fischer was going to attack them. Troopers gave verbal commands to Fischer to drop the pipes. They then attempted to take him into custody. Fischer swung the pipes and kicked at the troopers.

Troopers were able to subdue him and take him into custody. He appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, trooper said. He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville, for treatment. Charges are pending. Troopers listed three peoples victims, three men, two 37 and one 29, all of Frackville.
