Credit defaults
The following actions were filed by credit card companies, or their collection agencies, for alleged defaults on credit card/loan accounts.
Credit Solutions, Canonsburg, filed an action against Barry Phillips, 922 North St., Jim Thorpe, seeking $3,435.66.
Capital One Bank, Glen Allen, Virginia, filed the following actions: Mark Evans, 224 Center St., Lehighton, seeking $3,877.33; and Lisa C. Gabriel, 180 Serfass Lane, Palmerton, seeking $3,592.29.
Citibank, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, filed an action against Debbie Strizak, 122 N. Stagecoach Road, Weatherly, seeking $5,422.13.
Portfolio Recovery Associates, Norfolk, Virginia, filed an action against Tara M. Hartman, 46 Bluejay Drive, Jim Thorpe, seeking $19,047.03.
Mortgage foreclosure
First Northern Bank and Trust Company, Fourth Street and Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, filed a mortgage foreclosure of abandoned property action against Dennis and Brigitte, Odenwelder, 118 Bridge St., Apt. 4, Catasauqua, over property at 20 Beaver St., Lehighton, Mahoning Township. Sought is $80,207,74 and continuing interest.
Loan default
First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, 2732 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, filed a civil complaint against Jody S. Fenstermaker, 1026 Main Road, Lehighton, alleging she defaulted on a loan and security agreement. Sought is $9,704.83 plus costs, interest and fees.
Auto crash suit
Kelly Tompkins, 143 Drexel Ave., Blackwood, New Jersey, filed a civil action seeking damages against Zachary Kleintop and Tracy Flores, 590 Vine St., Lehighton, over an automobile crash.
The suit states on April 7 2019, Zachary Kleintop, was operating a vehicle he jointly owned by him and Tracy Flores, on Harrity Road, at its intersection with Pohopoco Road, in Franklin Township, when the front end of his vehicle crashed into a vehicle operated by the plaintiff.
Negligence for the crash is alleged and sought are damages to her vehicle and for injuries sustained by Tompkins which are detailed in the suit. Damages in excess of $50,000 are sought plus delay damages, punitive damages, costs, interest and all other damages permitted by law.
