A Luzerne County man was jailed recently on an arrest warrant and is also facing new drug charges.
McAdoo police reported on June 26 at 3:25 p.m. a patrol unit was monitoring traffic at Hancock and Taylor streets when they observed Michael Stiegelbauer, 26, of Hazleton, walk by. The officer thought there was an active warrant for his arrest and checked with the communications center, which confirmed the warrant.
Stiegelbauer was again observed walking by and was taken into custody on the warrant. While taking him into custody police found a needle and a rolled up sublingual film, suboxone. He was transported to the county prison in Pottsville on the warrant. Charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia were filed.
