Widener University Graduation, spring 2020

Widener University conferred degrees to more than 1,100 undergraduate and graduate students this year.

The university created a digital hub to celebrate the milestone accomplishments of the 2020 graduates from a safe distance. The graduates are also invited to participate in a rescheduled commencement ceremony at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts in May 2021.

Local graduates included:

Barnesville: John Hurst graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Widener’s School of Engineering

Lehighton: Amy McConnell graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Widener’s School of Engineering

New Ringgold: Katrina Miller graduated with a Master of Social Work from Widener’s School of Human Service Professions

Palmerton: Devon Santos graduated with a Bachelor of Science in from Widener’s School of Engineering

Saylorsburg: William Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Widener’s School of Nursing; Brendan Kearns graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Widener’s School of Engineering
