St. John’s Lutheran Church, 319 South Ave., Jim Thorpe, will be holding their annual clothing drive as part of their outreach ministry during the week of Aug. 10.

Due to COVID-19, the rules for participating in this event have changed for this year and are outlined below:

The clothing drive will be limited to Carbon County residents only. The event will be from Aug. 10-15. The hours are as follows: Aug. 10-14, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Aug. 11 and Aug. 13, 6-8 p.m.; and Aug. 15, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To participate, you must make an appointment by calling Shirley at 570-325-3536. She will work out a time with you. Your total shopping time will be 30 minutes. No one will be able to participate without an appointment. No children under 12 years can be present. Temperatures will be taken upon arrival and if elevated, access will not be permitted.

All participants must sanitize their hands upon arrival. Face masks must be worn. No restrooms will be available, so please plan accordingly. One designated entrance and one designated exit will be utilized. Volunteers will be there to assist you.
