A Berks County motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Schuylkill County on Saturday. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred at 12:06 p.m. along Route 895 in West Brunswick Township.

Troopers said Juan E. Gonzalez-Sanchez, 36, of Hamburg, was operating a Honda CBR600 eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the bike.

The bike went onto the right shoulder then struck a wooden pole, continued on about 300 feet east before coming to rest partially blocking the eastbound lane.

Gonzalez-Sanchez was taken to Geisinger-St. Luke’s, Orwigsburg, where he died of his injuries, troopers said.
