Emergency personnel were dispatched Tuesday afternoon when a kayak was found in the waters of the Lehigh River about four miles north of the Rockport junction. A kayak was found along with personal items. Responding were the Lehighton fire department water rescue and dive team along with the Lehigh -Lausanne fire company. Emergency personnel found and retrieved the kayak but found no victim. It is not known if the kayak was abandoned or broke loose from its mooring. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
