State police at Hazleton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 4 p.m. on June 11 along South Stagecoach Road in Lausanne Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Gabriel M. Hines, 18, of Weatherly, was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty northbound when he lost control on a left hand curve. The Jeep left the road and traveled into a wooded area before striking a tree on the east side of the road. Hines suffered an injury but did not require immediate medical attention. The Jeep was towed.

Troopers cited Hines for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
