A traffic stop made by McAdoo police at 12:13 a.m. May 17 resulted in two people being cited.

Charged were Brianna Holmes, 21, of Saylorsburg, and Vincent Gilliam Jr., 31, of Philadelphia. Holmes was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense for unlighted plate lights. Gilliam is facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary offense for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Police said they stopped the vehicle for a license plate offense and smelled an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Gilliam, the passenger, handed over a roach with burned marijuana residue that he had been smoking and was also in possession of a partially-empty Bud Light Lime beer.

Police said two vials of marijuana were located in Holmes’ purse.
