• State police at Hazleton reported investigating two domestic incidents recently, with one involving a gun and incarceration of the suspect.

Troopers responded to 1714 Hudson Drive, Packer Township, Carbon County, at 11:35 a.m. on June 5 for an active domestic incident. On scene troopers learned the victim, a 27-year-old woman, and the suspect, a 28-year-old man, both from Weatherly, engaged in a verbal argument regarding a loan for the purchase of a motorcycle by the man.

The man was taken into custody and charged with terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Homanko, of Weatherly, and committed to the county prison after failing to post bail.
