State police at Lehighton investigated a one-vehicle crash about 11:30 p.m. on June 5 along Flyte Road in Ross Township, Monroe County.

The driver, Richard P. Mills, 28, of Brodheadsville, fled the scene and is facing charges.

Mills was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 northbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a tree, flipping over onto its roof.

Mills fled the scene with minor injuries and did not report the crash until June 6 around 6 a.m.
