Nesquehoning man faces domestic dispute charges

A Nesquehoning man who was on probation for assault-related charges was charged a second time for related offenses after Nesquehoning police were summoned to a domestic dispute at 7:20 p.m. May 29.

Eric T.I. Whaley, 23, of the 100 block of W. High Street, was charged by borough police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment when police were called to the above residence.

Police said it is alleged he pushed a woman into a corner, where he put his hands around her neck, pulled her hair, threw her onto the floor and slapped her in the face.

Police said Whaley had been on probation for strangulation and simple assault charges for a prior incident when the second incident occurred.
