State police at Fern Ridge investigate incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents being investigated by troopers:

• On May 25 troopers responded to the 2800 block of Vista Drive, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for a criminal mischief incident. The resident reported someone damaged a water pump and decorative pool liner in her front yard sometime between May 23 at 1 p.m. and May 25 at 5 p.m.

On May 19 about 5:39 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Andersen Builders, 2527 Route 115, Chestnuthill Township, for a report of building materials being stolen. Sometime between May 11 and May 19 someone stole various building supplies and automotive parts from the property.

Taken were parts for a Harley Davidson motorcycle valued at $1,000; various pieces of treated lumber valued at $600; bundles of shingles valued at $800; and siding, various colors and sizes, valued at $1,000.

• A resident from Maple Lane in Kunkletown, Chestnuthill Township, reported someone damaged the siding on her home by firing BBs at it. Damages were estimated at $50. The incident occurred sometime between May 24 and 27.

• A 69-year-old woman from Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, reported someone opened a PayPal card in her name and charged $1,800 to it. The incident occurred sometime between May 28 at 6 p.m. and May 29 at 8 a.m. The victim is not responsible for the $1,800, troopers noted.

• On May 29 at 2:46 p.m. troopers were dispatched to Wawa store at 1781 Route 209, Blakeslee, Chestnuthill Township, for the theft of about 75 feet of copper wire and three forced air propane heaters. Troopers noted they are investigating multiple thefts at that location.

• On May 30 at 10:59 a.m. troopers responded to Wisteria Way, in Albrightsville, Chestnuthill Township, for a report of a stolen motorcycle. The bike taken was a 1995 black and purple Suzuki Katana 750, with possible state registration of DSL07. The bike was last seen on March 1.

• A burglary at 640 Toll Road in Chestnuthill Township, is being investigated. Troopers said someone used a aluminum boat as a ladder to access the second floor porch of the residence. Forced entry was made through a locked door. Removed was a bottle of whiskey valued at $20. Damages of $70 were made to a window screen and door window. The incident occurred sometime between May 25 at 1 p.m. and May 30 at 11:28 a.m. The victim is a 59-year-old man from Weehawken, New Jersey.

• Troopers said a 55-year-old woman from Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported on Monday that her debit card was stolen and used to make a purchase from an area store. The victim discovered the card missing during the time frame of May 29 and 31. The card company notified the victim of the unauthorized purchase on Monday. The amount used on the card was $59.31. The incident is still under investigation.
