Faith Alive Church

Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Bowmanstown is continuing to hold drive-in worship services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Worshippers are asked to remain in their vehicles and tune to FM.104.3 to hear the service. You can also check it out on the church Facebook page to see the latest videos, inspirational songs, songs by individuals and the Sounds of Faith Band. The Palmerton Car Show scheduled for June 20 has been canceled.

Palmerton Area Library

The Palmerton Area Library has begun providing some services to their patrons. Library materials may be checked out with curbside pickup. Online services will remain the same. The library will not be open to the public. Go to the library website for more information.

St. John’s Lutheran Church

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton, will hold a 9:30 a.m. drive-thru service on Sunday. Pastor Jody will lead the service through an amplification system in the parking lot so all can hear. Come and join in the service.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, invites people to their Zoom worship service on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Bible study is held on Zoom on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. The congregation honors its graduates Jereme J. Barkanic II and Shaelyn Heft.

The Thrift Shop is closed until further notice. Also the annual picnic at Knoebels has been canceled.

Card shower

Gloria “Corky” Walk has been admitted to Mahoning Valley Rehab and Nursing Home for rehabilitation. Since no visitors are allowed right now due to COVID-19, a card shower would lift her spirits. Cards may be sent to her at Mahoning Valley Rehab and Nursing Home, Room 115-A, 397 Hemlock Drive, Lehighton, PA 18235.

Jerusalem UCC

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, will again livestream on Facebook beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday. If you cannot view at this time, the recordings are available afterward to view on the website or on Facebook.

Sunday school for ages 5-12 is held on a Zoom format at 10 a.m. Email recordings of Bible stories are being sent to the nursery children. The youth group and adult Sunday school will resume when the church building is open.

Bible study video/audio conference is held Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. with Pastor Kathryn on a web platform. Contact the pastor for the connection link. The group is studying the Book of Acts.

Vacation Bible School has been canceled for this summer. Hopefully things will change for next year.

Community event canceled

The annual free chicken barbecue held at Jerusalem UCC, Trachsville, has been canceled for this year. See you next year.
