Two people were seriously injured Tuesday morning when involved in a crash in Schuylkill County.

The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. in or near the intersection of Routes 61 and 443 near Orwigsburg. First reports were a vehicle into a pole with heavy entrapment.

The victims were freed and treated by members of ambulances from Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Haven and Pottsville.

Helicopters transported the victims to area trauma centers. The landing zone was set up at the Blue Mountain High School.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the incident.
