Albright College undergraduate students earned Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees this spring. Although an in-person commencement ceremony is planned for a later date, the college celebrated the class of 2020 with a live degree conferral on May 17, followed by a virtual cap toss across social media, via #Albright2020.

Local graduates include:

• Bryana Leah Messerschmidt of Barnesville. A graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, Messerschmidt studied English and secondary education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude.

• Samantha Susanne Philipps of Brodheadsville. A graduate of Pleasant Valley High School, Philipps studied English-theatre, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude.

• Victoria Allison LaBar of Tamaqua. A graduate of Tamaqua Area Senior High School, LaBar studied sociology: family studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
