Schuylkill woman charged for threats

A Schuylkill County woman was jailed after making threats with a knife.

State police at Frackville were dispatched at 8:39 a.m. on May 27 to Jake’s Fireworks, located in the Frackville Industrial Park, in West Mahanoy Township, for a woman threatening a man with a knife.

Police were told Bianca Montero, 21, of Shenandoah, entered the business and began a verbal confrontation with a 26-year-old man from Shenandoah. She then showed a knife, placing several people in fear of injury.

Troopers located her walking away from the scene and took her into custody. She was arraigned before District Judge Christina Hale, of Frackville, on charges of simple assault, harassment, possession of an instrument of crime, possession of a prohibitive offensive weapon and disorderly conduct. She was committed to the county prison in Pottsville unable to post $15,000 bail. However, bail was posted on May 28 and she was released from the prison.
