Voters are going to decide several national, state races

The Pennsylvania primary election will be held on Tuesday. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition to the presidential primary, voters will decide a number of state races as well.

In the attorney general race, incumbent Democrat Joshua Shapiro faces off against Heather Heidelbaugh.

For auditor general, Timothy DeFoor is unopposed in the primary, while the Democratic ticket is a six-way race among newcomers Harry Scott Conklin, Michael E. Lamb, Tracie Lynne Fountain, Rose Marie Davis, Nilofer Nina Ahmad and Christina M. Hartman. Current Auditor General Eugene DePasquale is running for Congress in the 10th District.

State Treasurer Joe Torsella is seeking re-election and running unopposed on the Democratic ticket. Stacy Garrity is running unopposed on the Republican ticket and will challenge him in the general election.

In the 7th Congressional District, Democratic Rep. Susan Ellis Wild is unopposed and will face the winner of the Republican race between Dean N. Browning and Lisa Scheller in the fall.

Rep. Matt Cartwright has no challengers in the Democratic race in the 8th District. Six challengers are vying for a chance to challenge him in November: Harry Haas IV, Theodore V. Daniels, James Rocco Bognet, Mikel J. Cammisa, Michael P. Marsicano and Earl Granville.

In the 9th Congressional District race, Republican Rep. Dan Meuser is running unopposed in the primary. Susan Laura Quick and Gary Steven Wegman face off in the primary to be his Democratic challenger in the fall.

Democrat Maureen Madden and Republican Dulce Maria Ridder are each unopposed in the 115th Legislative District race.

Republican state Rep. Doyle Heffley is unopposed in the 122nd District race.

In the 124th District, Republican state Rep. Jerry Knowles and Democrat Taylor Evan Picone will face off in November, each with no challenger in the primary.

Democratic challenger Claudette Williams will run against incumbent Republican Rep. Jack Rader in the 176th District in the fall.

In the 183rd District, Republican Rep. Zachary Mako and Democrat Jason Ruff are each unopposed in the primary.

In the 189th District, Democrat Adam A. Rodriguez and Republican Rep. Rosemary Brown are each unopposed.

Republican state Sen. David Argall is unopposed in the primary in the 29th District race.

Voters will also be choosing delegates and alternates for their party’s national convention.
