State police at Fern Ridge — crashes

State Police at the Fern Ridge barracks investigated the following crashes.

• Deric Behler, 51, of Allentown, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:06 p.m. May 15 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township. Behler was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle.

He was extricated from the vehicle by members of the West End Fire Company.

Police said Behler was arrested for driving under the influence and refused chemical testing. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations.

The extent of his injuries is unknown, police said, as the man refused medical attention by the West End Ambulance corps.

The Jeep was towed from the scene.

• Troopers cited Jackson N. Gallati, 21, of Fairfield, Connecticut, with careless driving after a one-vehicle mishap at 9:55 a.m. May 14 on Interstate 80 westbound in Kidder Township.

Police did not provide the details of the incident but said Gallati and two passengers in the 2012 Honda Accord he was driving were uninjured.
