Sacred Heart announces updates

The Parish of Sacred Heart continues to offer daily private Mass until we move into the month of June. On June 1, all daily Masses will be celebrated at noon in the church. The church remains open on weekdays from noon until 3 p.m. for private prayer. The first weekend liturgy will be celebrated by Father Campion on June 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Seating for any Mass in the yellow phase will be limited to 80 people. Parishioners wishing to attend weekend Mass are asked to call the Rectory Office to register, so we, as a church, comply with COVID-19 reopening guidelines.

The obligation to attend Mass continues to be suspended while we are in the yellow phase of recovery.

Confessions continue to be by appointment only. Please call the Rectory Office at: 610-826-2335 to schedule.

First Friday Devotions on June 5 will begin with Mass at noon followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until 3 p.m. when we will conclude with benediction.

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, which brings the Easter Season to a Liturgical close.

Father Campion will be our celebrant and Monsignor Candreva will provide the Homily. In the readings, we recall the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, the Church and on all baptized “to renew the face of the earth.” Join us on Sacred Heart’s Facebook page for this livestream beginning at 10 a.m.

Please continue to consult our website, www.shcpalmerton.org for updated weekly bulletins and other pertinent Diocesan Parish News - the directives by Order of Bishop Schlert are posted as we begin a partial return to public worship. For clarification of any of these directives, call the parish office between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. during the week at: 610-826-2335.

Finally, Father Bill asks that we continue to pray through the intercession of Father Walter Ciszek to ask God’s intervention for a cure for the COVID-19 virus and restore the spiritual, physical, emotional and financial needs of so many who are suffering at this time.
