Nesquehoning police release reports

Nesquehoning police released the following charges and citations that the department has filed recently.

• Troy Refsnider, 49, of Nesquehoning, was charged with additional filing false reports to law enforcement after he called 911 while high on drugs and filed a false claim on May 8.

He also faces three other counts of filing a false report on April 7, in which he told 911 that he couldn’t swallow and people at his home needed medical attention.

During that incident, Refsnider admitted to taking drugs before making the false 911 report.

• Brian Thomas Boner, 58, of Nesquehoning, faces drug charges after he was pulled over for nonfunctioning brake lights on May 23.

During the stop, Boner appeared to be nervous and was shaking. Police asked to conduct a search inside the vehicle and he consented.

After he stepped out of the vehicle, officers patted Boner down and found meth in his shirt pocket. A further search discovered other drugs and $271.

He was taken into custody and transported to Carbon County Correctional Facility.

Non-traffic citations

Police issued three citations for harassment; two citations each for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness; one citation for dangerous burning and 10 moving permit violations.

Traffic citations

Police issued two citations each for speeding, careless driving, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving with a suspended license; as well as one citation each for an expired inspection, no inspection, driving a tractor-trailer where prohibited, following two closely, operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and operating an ATV on a borough street.
