Frackville state police — arrests

State police at Frackville reported on the following arrests.

• A Schuylkill County man was arrested twice within hours stemming from a domestic situation.

Troopers said they responded to a residence along Hazle Street in Delano Township at 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of an altercation. An investigation revealed that Frank Ryder, 51, of Delano, assaulted a 47-year-old woman at that address. He was taken into custody and arraigned before a district judge.

He was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was released on unsecured bail.

At 8:42 p.m., troopers were called back to the same residence for another altercation.

On scene, Ryder was again taken into custody. An investigation revealed he returned to the residence and made threats to the victim. He was charged with terroristic threats.

He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 bail.

• A Schuylkill County man was charged with violating a protection from abuse order.

On Wednesday at 3:36 p.m., troopers said Ellet Sapp, 40, of East Mahanoy Avenue, Girardville, was served with a protection order which evicted him from the residence. He refused to leave, which violated the order.

He was arrested and arraigned before a district judge. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail. Both sides in a domestic dispute were cited.

• State police at Frackville said troopers responded to a residence along Sanderson Street in Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill County, about 6:44 p.m. on May 22 for a report of a domestic dispute.

On scene, the two parties involved, a 33-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman, alleged physical contact. No injuries were reported.

Both parties, who troopers declined to identify, were issued citations for harassment.
