A Penn Forest Township house was damaged extensively Friday morning when a fire broke out near the chimney. The fire was reported around 9:30 a.m. on Midway Drive in Bear Creek Lakes. When firefighters from Penn Forest and Franklin townships arrived on scene, they found a working fire in the roof and wall. The fire then traveled to the interior of the dwelling.
