Police release information in fatal Ross crash

State police at Lehighton released the name of the driver involved in a fatal crash on Monday in Monroe County.

Troopers said Stephen W. Myers, 63, of Saylorsburg, was found dead in his 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Troopers said their investigation revealed Myers was driving eastbound on Kunkletown Road in Ross Township at 4:23 p.m. when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

A witness driving behind Myers, said he observed the Jeep veering off the road on the right side and striking the tree.

The investigation also revealed that Myers died before his vehicle left the road. Troopers said Myers had a history of medical issues.
