The Rev. Raymond F. Weider, semiretired and vice pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Rush Township, and the Ascension Lutheran Church, Quakake, celebrated the 45th anniversary of his ordination into the holy Order of Lutheran Clergymen on Sunday

He is the Synodical appointed pastor by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Lutheran Church in America to serve these two congregations.

A graduate of the Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg, he previously served parishes in Stewartsville, New Jersey, and in Montoursville, Altoona, Glasgow, Tyrone, Bethlehem and Blandon, all in Pennsylvania.

He is married to the former Louise Berry. They are the parents of three daughters and two sons.
