John Campbell, 81, of Kunkletown, was injured in a crash at 2:46 p.m. April 27 in the parking lot of the CVS store at 3192 Rt.115 in Effort, Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said he was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg. The severity of his injuries was unknown, police said.

Police said he was driving a 2010 Subaru Impreza and was pulling out of the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru lane when he accelerated the vehicle, striking a 2002 Ford Taurus and the CVS building. The Taurus was unoccupied at the time.

The Subaru was towed from the scene.
