President Donald Trump will visit the Owens and Minor Inc. medical equipment distributor in Upper Macungie Township on Thursday, a White House official said Monday night.

During the visit, the president will tour the distribution center and deliver remarks.

The president is expected to discuss his administration’s efforts to use the Strategic National Stockpile to lead the world in COVID-19 testing, as well as his actions to replenish and bolster the stockpile so that the America is never caught off guard again.

The stockpile was built to supplement state and local supplies during public health emergencies, and other serious disasters and attacks.

Owens and Minor Inc. is a 137-year-old American medical equipment distributor that has sent millions of N95 masks, surgical gowns, and gloves to hospitals and surgery centers across the country to respond to COVID-19.

This will be the president’s 18th trip to Pennsylvania during his administration.
