American Red Cross Blood Drive

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on May 13 from 1 to 6 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 150 Pine St., Tamaqua.

Anyone 17 or older who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate blood.

Walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule an appointment by calling 800-733-2767 or visit www.redcross.org.

Memorial Day Parade

In the interest of public safety and parade participants and with the guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state and local governments, the annual Tamaqua Memorial Day parade scheduled for May 25 has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
