Thorpe’s Binder headed to Thaddeus Stevens

Jim Thorpe’s Collin Binder will be continuing his academic and athletic careers at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

Binder, who will be playing football at the next level, was a tight end and defensive end this past season for the Olympians.

The son of Kevin and Sharon Binder, Collin caught 11 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns, and registered nine tackles and a fumble recovery to help Thorpe post an 8-3 record.

The 6-3, 230-pounder, who also has played baseball in high school, plans to major in electrical construction and maintenance.

Thaddeus Stevens finished 7-2 during the 2019 year.
