Fuel spills blocks lane on Route 309 in Rush Twp.

The Hometown Fire Company crews, along with Rush Township work crews are busy cleaning up a large fuel spill along Route 309. The incident occurred about 6 p.m. as two tractor trailers came onto contact in the south bound lanes in the Still Creek intersection. One rig was passing and came into contact with the rear of a trailer of a second unit. The trailer of the passing unit received damage with the saddle fuel tank being ruptured. The fuel covered the right southbound lane and berm. Firefighters and work crews applied a non-skid and absorbent. Rush Township police are investigating the incident.
