Four armed robberies over the weekend in Schuylkill

Police are investigating four armed robberies that occurred from last Saturday night into early Sunday at various businesses in Schuylkill County. All four are considered to have been committed by the same suspect.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the first robbery occurred at the Mobil Gas Station in Cressona borough at 9:15 p.m. Saturday. The second occurred at 6:10 a.m. Sunday at the Speedway Gas Station in Pine Grove Township and in less than an hour a third occurred at the Auburn Food Mart in West Brunswick Township.

Troopers added the fourth occurred on Sunday at the Vista Fuel, located along Route 61 in Schuylkill Haven. Schuylkill Haven police are investigating that robbery.

In all four incidents a man entered the businesses brandishing a black handgun and demanding cash. In each case the suspect left on foot. The amount of cash taken was not reported by police. No one was injured in any of the incidents.

Police described the suspect as a white man, medium build, about 6 feet to 6 feet, 5 inches tall, wearing a black “Realtree” hooded sweatshirt with the hood up. The sweatshirt had a camouflage pattern in the center of it behind the orange “Realtree” logo. He was wearing a camouflage beanie hat as well as a purple/blue face mask, possibly a bandanna. He had on blue jeans and black sneakers which had light-colored soles. He also had a scar above the bridge of his nose and appears to walk with a slight limp.
