State police at Lehighton are investigating the reported theft of cash from a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said a 45-year-old woman from Route 115, in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported that someone removed $700 from her apartment. The theft occurred sometime between April 2 at 7 a.m. and April 4 at 9:50 a.m.
