State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident with a gun at a Schuylkill County location.

Troopers said on April 4 about 11:36 p.m. a patrol unit came upon a disturbance in the area of North Ninth Street and West Norwegian streets, in Pottsville. Through an investigation it was determined that the suspect was fleeing the scene with a gun. The suspect, an 18-year-old male from Pottsville, was located a short time later with a loaded gun and taken into custody.

Police said the teen pointed a firearm at a 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Schuylkill Haven, multiple times during an argument.

The firearm was seized and charges, including simple assault with fear of physical menace, will be filed against the teen, troopers said.
