McAdoo man gets 2-3 years state prison

A McAdoo man arrested six times since 2018 will spend two to three years in state prison, in a ruling by Schuylkill County Judge Charles Miller on March 27.

Jonathan M. Burget, 42, arrests included driving under the influence, driving while license was under suspension, bad checks and three drug possession arrests. Miller made some sentences concurrent and some consecutive, for a cumulative two to three years.

Burget’s fines and costs total $3,260, plus $725 restitution to the bad check victim. On the DUI charge, he will undergo a one-year loss of license, followed by one-year interlock system.

He must complete the alcohol highway safety school and perform 100 hours community service.
