State police warn businesses

The Pennsylvania State Police released data on actions taken as of Thursday, against non-life- sustaining businesses that failed to comply with Gov. Tom Wolf’s order closing their physical locations. Enforcement began on March 23.

PSP release information on warning and/or citations issued for violating the close orders: There were no citations issued, however, the breakdown of warnings for area troops follow: Troop L area (includes barracks at Frackville, Schuylkill Haven, Hamburg, Jonestown and Reading) six warnings to date; Troop M (Bethlehem, Belfast Dublin and Fogelsville), eight warnings to date; Troop N (Lehighton, Hazleton, Fern Ridge and Stroudsburg), five warnings to date.

To report a noncompliant business, contact your local law enforcement agency’s non-emergency number.
