Lehigh Valley Police incidents

Police report on the following Lehigh Valley area incidents:

• A Carbon County resident was the victim of a harassment incident at a Lehigh County location.

State police at Bethlehem said troopers responded to a location along Airport Road in Hanover Township, about 2:37 a.m. on March 19 for a harassment. A 22-year-old woman from Palmerton related that she and Margaret Robinson, 19, of Allentown, had an argument. The two are co-workers. During the argument Robinson shoved the victim and threw a meal container “tip jar” at her. The container struck the victim’s right hand causing redness.

Robinson was cited for harassment.

• Emmanual L. Tate, 19, of New Tripoli, had minor injuries in a one-vehicle rash at 8:10 a.m. March 14 on Holbens Valley Road in Weisenberg Township, according to state police at the Fogelsville barracks.

They said he was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra eastbound when it went off the road, struck a fence and two trees. Police said Tate could not get out of the driver’s side door because of the damages and needed to be extricated via the passenger-side door.

The vehicle was towed from the scene. Tate was cited in the crash.

• Christopher R. Maff, 56, of Hazleton, escaped a crash in Lynn Township at 11:59 a.m. March 14 with suspected minor injuries, according to state police at the Fogelsville barracks.

They said he was driving a 2004 Subaru Impreza south on Route 309, approaching the intersection with Springhouse Road, when the vehicle left the right side of the road, traveled about 45 feet across the intersection and struck an embankment with its front end. Police said the impact caused the Impreza to go airborne, traveling about six feet before striking a guide wire attached to a utility pole, and then traveling about 126 feet before it fell off the embankment on the right side of Route 309.

Police said the car re-entered Route 309 and traveled across both the north and southbound lanes for about 36 feet where its front end struck an embankment on the left side of Route 309. The car finally came to rest in the northbound lane of Route 309.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Police said Maff was cited for following too closely.
