Slatington man facing charges

Police have announced charges against a Slatington man following an incident that occurred about 1:41 a.m. on Jan. 8.

State police at Bethlehem said Ryan Nestor, 37, showed up at the residence of an acquaintance along Quarry Street in North Whitehall Township.

After several minutes of acting in an erratic and aggressive manner, he was made to leave.

Nestor, upon being forced out of the residence, began to repeatedly bang on doors, windows and slides of the house demanding to be let back in. He eventually made his way to the backyard and repeatedly banged on the rear door demanding to be let in.

He then punched his fist through a glass window panel of a rear door which prompted the 35-year-old woman to call police.

Nester has been charged with attempted burglary, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, loitering and prowling at night and public drunkenness.
