State police at Frackville are investigating a animal cruelty incident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said on March 23 about 6:31 p.m. a dead brown and black female pit bull was found about 15 feet off Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township, at a pull off area. Troopers said there are no residences in close proximity of the location. The dog appears to have been there for several days.
