A Palmerton woman was killed when her vehicle left a Lehigh County roadway and struck a tree.

State police at Bethlehem said the crash occurred along Mountain Road, west of Spruce Lane, in Washington Township, about 3:39 p.m. on Sunday.

Troopers said Ginger L. Rodgers, 64, was driving a 2006 Kia Sedona when it left the road and it a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger, Erlene Sell, 63, also of Palmerton, was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where she is listed in critical but stable condition. No other details of the crash were released.
