Fogelsville state police report on crashes

State police at Fogelsville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Lehigh County roadways.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:53 a.m. on March 11 along Route 100 in Lowhill Township. Troopers said Jonathan L. Houser, 31, of Coaldale, was driving a 2012 Toyota Corolla southbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. His car struck the deer with the front end.

No one was injured. The Toyota was towed from the scene.

• A crash was reported at 2:13 p.m. on March 6 along Route 22 in Upper Macungie Township. Troopers said Ashley K. Darcangelo, 44, of Saint Clair, was driving a 2007 Subaru Impreza westbound and at a speed too fast for the rainy conditions. The speed caused the car to hydroplane across in the right lane and onto the should of the road where it struck a concrete barrier with the front end. Darcangelo was not injured. The Subaru sustained heavy damages and had to be towed. She was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.

• A crash occurred about 2:42 p.m. on March 15 along Route 309 in Lower Macungie Township. Troopers said Benjamin L. Deutsch, 30, of Effort, was driving a 2012 Honda motorcycle southbound and went around a left curve in the road at about 85 mph. Deutsch lost control of the bike and hit an embankment along the right side. The bike slid a short distance on the grass shoulder before coming to final rest.

Deutsch was not injured. The bike was towed from the scene. Deutsch was cited for driving a vehicle at a unsafe speed.
