Fern Ridge police report on incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents:

• A Carbon County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 11:12 p.m. March 12.

Police said Curtis Watson, 35, of Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, and a victim, not identified by troopers, entered into an argument. Watson struck the victim with an open hand and shoved the victim to the ground. No physical injuries were observed, troopers added.

As a result Watson was cited for harassment - physical contact. Charges were filed.

• A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred about 12:38 a.m. on Feb. 29.

Police said Lemire Brown, 57, of Blakeslee, was stopped operating a 2009 Mercedes-Benz. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol, troopers said, and was taken to the county DUI center for a blood draw. The DUI charge is pending test results.

• On March 6 about 9:46 a.m. a 29-year-old man from Stroudsburg, reported entry to a property he owns along Center Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Guns and tools were taken, with a total value of $1,555. A 2012 Nissan Frontier was also broken into. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 26 and March 2.

• On March 6 about 11 a.m. a 63-year-old man from Hatboro, Montgomery County, reported his property along Eastbrook Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, was entered sometime between Feb. 6 and March 6. The front door was smashed in and unknown tools and various items removed.

• A 82-year-old man from Sciota reported a trailer was removed from his property along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township. The trailer is an 18-foot long, black, dual axle Zook make, single car carrier trailer. The victim said the ramps on the trailer had diamond plates on them. The theft occurred sometime between March 1 at 8 a.m. and March 3 at 12:38 p.m.

• A Blakeslee man was taken into custody following a traffic stop just after 12:30 a.m. Feb. 29 at the intersection of Allegheny Drive and Butte Road in Monroe County.

Police said Lemire Brown, 57, showed indicators of alcohol impairment and was transported to the Monroe DUI Processing Center for further testing and charges are currently pending before the magistrate.

• On March 7 at 6:39 p.m. troopers were dispatched to an apartment along Route 715, Saylorsburg, in Chestnuthill Township, for a reported disturbance. On scene they found a husband, 33, and wife, 29, engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical. The man was charged with strangulation and simple assault and the female with terroristic threats and simple assault. Troopers declined to identify the suspects.

• On March 11 about 3 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a residence along Edgewood Drive in Chestnuthill Township for a reported theft of a package. The 26-year-old male resident said a package was delivered to on March 7 at 2:22 p.m. but was removed before he could retrieve it. Value of the missing items is $53.
