Tamaqua Arts Center upcoming events

The Tamaqua Community Arts Center has announced upcoming events. It also released an announcement regarding precautions it is currently taking with regards to the COVID-19 virus.

All spaces will be thoroughly cleaned prior to events. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances of the building; if you feel ill, stay home, even if you purchased a ticket for an event and the center will provide you with a gift card for a future event. At this time, all events will continue as scheduled.

• Free Weekly Kids Craft Class: 6-7 p.m. March 17. Learn about the life of the king snake.

• Pysanky Ukrainian Egg Workshop with Paul Corinchock: 9 a.m. to noon March 21 and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on March 29. Tool kits for the two classes that can be taken home are available for purchase the day of the class. All supplies included in the ticket price.

• Free Weekly Kids Craft Class: 6-7 p.m. March 24. Learn about the sea and everything in it. The story “Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea” will also be read.

• Free Weekly Kids Craft Class: 6-7 p.m. March 31. Join in the antics of Stanley as he is separated from his friends and must try to find his way home in “The Bravest Fish.” Clever crafts will follow the reading.
