Dimmick Library march events announced

Dimmick Memorial Library, 54 Broadway, Jim Thorpe has the following events.

• Story-time will be held every Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. in the library. The schedule will be March 17, St. Patrick’s Day; March 24, Clouds/Rainbows; and March 31, Rain, Rain.

• The Dimmick Lego Club will meet from 4-5:30 p.m. on March 25 at the library.

• The Friends of the Library are hosting a book sale on Saturday during the Irishfest in town. There will also be warm coffee from the library’s warming bar.

• Local artist Dan Becker will be teaching a three-part painting class at the library starting on March 18 at 6-8 p.m. The class will run for the next two subsequent Wednesdays. There is a limit of 10 people per class. A small donation to the library is suggested to cover any supply costs.

• The Dimmick Friends of the library will be meeting on March 19 at 10 a.m. in the Library. New members are always welcome.

• The Dimmick Lab Rats: STEM Saturday event will be on March 21 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Stop in, explore and learn in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Every month, the library will do a themed project aimed to teach you more about the science of the world around us.

• Stop in any time throughout the month of March to view the art of Eric Szollosy. 20% of the proceeds of both shows benefit the library directly.
