Carbon County court — ARD

Thirteen first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Feb. 25 by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted:

Thomas Baker

, 57, of Pocono Lake, was placed on a driving under the influence of alcohol charge. He was arrested on July 11, 2019, by state police at Lehighton.

He was assessed $550 for the cost of the program and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Kassidy DonMarie Doolittle

, 19, of Nesquehoning, was placed on a DUI of controlled substance charge. She was arrested on Sept. 10, 2019, by Nesquehoning police.

She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 90 days.

Matthew Christopher Fonseca

, 18, of Palmerton, was placed on a charge of DUI of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Sept. 22, 2019, by Palmerton police.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Carrie Sue Frownfelter

, 39, of Harrisburg, was placed on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was arrested on Oct. 20, 2019, by state police at the Pocono barracks.

She was assessed $550 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Darryl Gene Hunsicker Jr.

, 55, of Orlando, Florida, was placed on a DUI of alcohol charge. He was arrested on Nov. 4, 2019, by Nesquehoning.

He was assessed $600 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Patricia Ann Leibenguth

, 45, of Slatington, was placed on a DUI of controlled substance charge. She was arrested on March 13, 2019, by state police at Lehighton.

She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Theresa A. Robin

, 56, of Lehighton, was placed on charges of DUI of controlled substance, aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest. She was arrested by Lehighton police on May 18, 2018.

She was assessed $450.

Tiffany J. Shopov

, 38, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI of controlled substance charge. She was arrested on Oct. 19, 2019, by state police at Lehighton. She was charged with eight counts.

She was assessed $600 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Robert Louis Squires

, 60, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI of alcohol charge filed by state police at Fern Ridge on Nov. 9, 2019.

He was assessed $500 and his license was suspended for 30 days.

William Edward Staigaitis Jr.

, 26, of Tamaqua, was placed on a DUI of alcohol charge. He was arrested on Nov. 17, 2019, by Kidder Township police.

She was assessed $550 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

David Craig Strachan

, 66, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI of alcohol charge filed by Lehighton police for an incident on March 2, 2019.

He was assessed $650 and his license was suspended for 30 days.

Nicole Francis Tobin

, 29, of Albrightsville, was placed on a DUI of controlled substance charge. She was arrested on Nov. 16, 2019, by state police at Fern Ridge.

She was assessed $550 and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Timothy Joseph Williams II

, 25, of Weatherly, was placed on a DUI of alcohol charge filed by state police at Hazleton on Nov. 8, 2019.

He was assessed $550 and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program and those charged with DUI, must follow any recommendations of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
