Northwestern’s Dillon Scott, who placed third in the 500 freestyle and sixth in the 200 IM at the District 11 Class 2A swimming championships, was awarded the John Vernon Memorial Scholarship. The award is presented at the meet to a swimmer who competes without the benefit of having a high school team to train with.
