Schuylkill man jailed for threats

A Schuylkill County man was jailed Feb. 23 following an incident in which he pointed a bow and arrow at two victims.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 12:54 p.m. at 95 Molleystown Road in Tremont Township.

Troopers said Darryl Shadle, 33, of Pine Grove, arrived at the residence with a pick ax. He smashed three windows on a parked 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee owned by a 55-year-old man from Pine Grove.

He then got a compound box and arrow and pointed it at the male victim and a 45-year-old woman from Pine Grove, at least twice. He then fled the scene.

Troopers located Shadle a short time later on an adjacent property in a wooded area and took him into custody without incident.

He was arraigned before on-call District Judge David J. Rossi, of Tremont, on charges of terroristic threats and related charges.

He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
